Morning arrived. I didn’t want to open my eyes. This was the last day in Denver Colorado staying at our apartment in the spire. The days had passed so quickly. I didn’t want them to end. Lynn must have felt the same way. I could tell she was awake by her squirming, but she didn’t open her eyes either. How did I know? I peeked a little to see her.
We reluctantly got up and started the last of the packing before we went for breakfast. We decided to go to the little café down the street for breakfast. Packing turned into a bigger job than we had planned, so we went to breakfast without finishing.
Breakfast was very good. We both got the house omelet. We got all the trimmings as well. Over breakfast we decided we would take a short trip to the seven-mile mall. After all, we needed to pick up some souvenirs and gifts for the people back home. We would have to be very careful not to take too long. After all, we had a plane to catch.
We walked back to the hotel and climbed in the Malibu. We headed to the seven-mile mall. When we arrived, we could not decide where to start. There were so many places to shop. We walked by several places until we found what we were looking for. T-shirts is what we needed. T-shirts with Denver Colorado on the front and back was what you were expected to bring back from a vacation. It took some hunting to get a shirt for everyone on our list. A list is a must, so no one is forgotten. We looked around for a brief period, and then made ourselves get back in the Malibu. We did have a plane to catch.
We went back to the hotel and faced packing. The problem was that we had more now than when we arrived. Going to the seven-mile mall did not help the situation. We did manage to pack everything. The bags we would carry on board were larger than usual.
We arrived at the airport, turned in the rental. We said good-bye to Denver Colorado. We knew we would return again some day. Denver is not a city one can forget.
On the plane I thought I saw a tear drip down Lynn’s face, but I wasn’t sure. We didn’t talk much on the flight. We did miss the people back home. We knew we would have many things to share with them. Going to Denver Colorado was a wonderful idea. My world has become a lot larger than before the vacation. It was a good idea!

What do you like to eat? My personal list includes foods like sugary cereals, cookies, chips, and chocolate. But when it comes to losing weight and keeping it off, there comes a time to need to reevaluate eating habits. We all need food to live—this is something with which we don’t have a choice. However, we do have a choice concerning the food we put into our bodies—and that can make all the difference in how we live life.
